Simple Bar Restaurant

Simple is a really nice place to eat and drink, and has a great atmosphere. The food has improved massively and the new happy hour menu is awesome. I highly recommend this place and all the staff I encountered on my visit were really nice and helpful.

i love simple. i go here all the time - they have started to make the most divine cheesecake - it is to die for.

And perfect for afterwork drinks with a £6.50 bottle of Rose.

I think it has had a re-vamp recently and has got some funky flock wallpaper and an amazing chandelier.

I find it hard to believe that some of these reviews are about the same place.

I LOVE simple, Manchester needs more independent bars like it.

The first time we stumbled into this place we were well impressed. The manager even took time out to come to our table and introduce himself as he was fairly new. The place had a really nice vibe.

I ordered the staple favourite "all day breakfast" and it couldn't have been better. The missus had her veggie option and was also impressed.

However, we visited again maybe 5 or 6 times in the subsequent months and each time we were badly let down.

*Miserable / Inept staff.

*Below average food (the beans on one of my breakfasts had obviously been stood under heatlamps to keep them warm).

*Once we waited almost an hour for someone to even offer us DRINKS.

We honestly thought it'd improve hence why we went back half a dozen times but it never did so needless to say we will not be going back any time soon. Sadly, the manager who introduced himself that day no longer seems to be there, maybe that's the reason for it's slide.

As my school reports used to say, "could try harder".

it was a cold evening back March and i stumbled upon this web site, my name is Michael and i own simple, it was from manchster-eating that i finally decided to get to grips with our bad toilet problem, now 3 months later our toilets ae not only clean there redecorated and our new menu comes in next week, thanks for the feedback oh and our staff should now be the nicest people in Manchester - i hope !!

Simple is a relaxed, friendly place to meet with friends. They serve good quality food and the are reasonably priced.

Sometimes it takes a while for the staff to notice you and their toilets are not the cleanest!

Great venue to meet friends for a bite to eat and catch up. it's not intended to be fine dining, just comfortable, moderately priced venue and fits this bill perfectly. We visit regularly and food is always good, beer cold, and atmosphere welcoming. Would definately recommend a visit.

On arrival at the bar we were impressed with the post work atmoshere which was buzzing with young professionals . However this was overshadowed by the standard of the food which was processed and very average. The burger cannot even be compared to the standard of those found in a burger van-it was in-edible. The toilets were filthy and the fact that there is just one for ladies seems unbelievable. This bar clearly relies on its drinking clientele and food takes a back seat. I would certainly think twice before eatng here again and would suggest that the use of restaurant in the name be reconsidered.

Not a very nice place to eat at all. The staff were rude and unfriendly.The restaurant was not very busy but it took ages to be served. The toilets were not very clean. The food is basic and overpriced. Before visiting this restaurant I expected simple well made classic dishes what I recieved was basic food but it was not well made.
