Zinc Bar & Grill

Myself and my partner went to ZInc on Saturday evening. Although the food was very good we found it rather pricey. We didnt have starters or deserts and the meal including 4 drinks came to £61. The seating is very close so didn't feel like the romantic meal we had hoped for. The bar staff were more interested in each others love lifes than serving customers!! Also found it hard to get the attention of the waitress when we wanted more drinks. All in all we won'tbe going back anytime soon.

I've eaten at Zinc quite a few times in the past and always found it a lovely experience. The food, although a little on the pricey side, has always been delicious, simple and well presented. The staff, both on the bar and in the restaurant were friendly and very accommodating (even going as far as to ask us if the music was at a comfortable volume for us because we were sat near a speaker). The atmosphere is unpretentious and the music is generally understated and mellow. My only gripe was the addition of a 'discretionary' 12.5 % service charge to the bill which, I am glad to have discovered on my most recent visit, has now been removed, so that I can now leave as much of a tip as I choose. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

I have been here a couple of times and have always found the service quite poor. The last time we went my husband had a steak that tasted of fish. They had used the fish grill for the steak. Ok, they knocked the dish off the bill but he was green for hours after. We've never been back.

We often just go in here just for a drink because when you are eating it feels like you are sitting in a shopping precinct as the resteraunt bit is next to the triangle shopping centre and there is a big window and door that leads you into there. i would only recommend it for drinks. Basic food, pricy drinks.
