Bar 38

Bar 38 is a great place to go. was really impressed with the service. Most of the staff were friendly. I will be returning again soon.

i once visited Bar 38 for a freinds leaving party, just a couple of us but never the less, the service was atrocious, the toilets were disgraceful and the food, well i dont want to go there! the beer and spirits were over priced and the wine tasted of cork every time we tasted it.

Well I took my friends there who were visiting and had great service and ended up staying all night until the early hours. Didn't think it was over priced at all, in fact thought it the prices where ok. All the staff were very friendly and I was speaking to one of the managers who was more than happy to talk to me. overall I think Bar 38 has come along way from where it was, keep up the good work people.

Well Rodney, a year on and Bar 38 is looking a bit tired.

The food was overpriced and underdone, whilst their policy of plastic glasses now apparently means all day every day. Rather takes the edge off sitting in the sun quaffing wine. Bit stupid when punters can apparently wander around with bottles at will, not to mention the heavy glass ashtrays.

Incidentally the staff have now turned into little bureaucrats, dictating where you may may sit and what you may do. Watched two women posing with the stripper poles for photos being told off, as 'this area is not open'.

Apart from wondering why a child friendly bar, a mantra used by the staff every time they spoke, no children in sight mind you, needs stripper poles. You had to pass them to get to the loo. Ah yes the loo, one cubicle in the gents, no urinal, remains of a previous nights festivity liberally plastered over all vertical surfaces.

Prior to this, not been there for a year or so, will be alot longer before I and the rest of my party get lured over the threshold again.

I visited Bar 38 recently after it was recommended to me. What a great place. The staff are so friendly and helpful from the doorstaff through to the female manager who i got talking to. What a great place will be returning soon. Food was A+++++

We had lunch here one Saturday and thought it was awful - we felt really ripped off and the service was disgraceful. Our wraps came with nothing but a bit of dried up manky old lettuce for £4.95 and there was hardly any duck just fat in mine! Urgh! Don't bother!

we went there for my friends 20th b'day we've heard good reviews about there so we thought we'd give it a try so we went for a meal in the evening and stayed all night we had one of the beat nights in manchester that we've ever had we would defimitly reccomend it to ppl that havent been there and we came home with money x
