Tampopo (Albert Square)
your comments review this restaurant
couldn't agree less. Tampopo (Albert Square branch) serves very good food, reasonably priced and with great service. Never been disappointed during the many visits to this great restaurant which knocks spots off it's rival Wagamamas. We've recommended to family and friends down the years who all rave about it.

This place LOOKS like it would offer a cheap meal. In reality, the bill will be just as much as at a REAL thai restaurant....and in the REAL Thai restaurant you'd be likely to get MUCH better food. Simply not a very good place, which is a shame because it really looks like a place you'd like.
But if you can't put out the food, nothing else matters. They don't.

I've eaten here 3 times. The starters are pretty good. The mains have all been fairly tasteless. Considering it's been near enough 50 quid for two people all three times I've been....I see no reason to go back. Bland, chain-quality cooking.

Good efficint service and great food .... biggest problem was deciding what to have.
Also a gret introduction to Oriental food for the kids with a good menu and tolerant attitude towards younger diners
