Enjoyed a meal at Saints & Scholars last night. Easy going and relaxed atmosphere. Impressed with the huge portions. Everything was very tasty. Our waitress was extremely helpful. We left very satisfied and will definately return.

Thought we would drop into this quaint looking pub for some food and a few drinks before our party headed back home. Sadly we left after 45 minutes when we had tolerated enough off the ill manners of the owner. He strumped around like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders and looked down on everyone that came in unless they were regulars. It wasn't until my husband opened his wallet to pay for a large round of drinks that the owner lifted the corner of his mouth in what appeared to have been a half-hearted attempt to smile, until he realised his face would crack if he did. Needless to say we left after paying for the less than tasteful food, which we did not finish and without leaving a tip because the staff were clearly following the example of their leader.

Had the worst meal of my life at Saints and Scholars last night. Rude staff, rude chef and cold food sums it up. When we dared to mention the cold chicken fajitas, the worlds most miserable waitress said it had cooled down "because it had sat wating while they cooked the other dish". Oh well, that explains it then! The restaurant staff then stared agressively and huffed about until we paid the overpriced bill and left. Don't go, its absolutely awful, hopelessly trapped in the 80's and the food is cold and inedible. Shame as they used to do good breakfasts.

This place is incredible. I lived just up the road and always made an effort to pop in. The staff are very accommodating, sometimes setting up a table where they can to squeeze you in for a small intimate meal. Their chicken fajitas are to die for.

I am an Aussie who lived in Fallowfield for a few years and fell in love with Saints and Scholars! My boyfriend and I went there at least once a week and it is the thing we miss most about Manchester (apart from his family of course! :)
In July we returned for a holiday and this is the place he chose to propose to me! Great food and great people, we miss you!

I've been going to this restaurant for nearly 10yrs, so that must say something!
Love the food, excellent choice and quality with huge portions! Fortunately they offer doggie bags!
Never had a problem with the staff, new or old, they all seem to be trained the same way, polite & yet still friendly.
When I started going I was young free & single, I’m now married with child, so I can honestly say ‘A restaurant to suit all’.
