Thai E-Sarn Classic

This must be the worst Thai restaurant I ever been to, believe you me give this a wide berth, we paid a deposit this was not deducted on the final bill. Poor service grubby tables, toilets undesirable felt as thou you were eating in a take away window.
Any one with any sense will spend they money in a decent Thai restaurant.

Thai e sarn, is a great fun fuelled night out and these people who moan, really need to get a life and learn how to enjoy themselves. If your looking for a quality Thai meal, it's not the place for you but for a good laugh you can't beat it.
The food is nice, not the best Thai food I've ever had but it's the atmosphere is brilliant. The interior leaves a lot to be desired as people stand on the chairs and have fun.
If your dull stay away otherwise you'd love it!

I took my staff for a fun night out to Thai E Sarn which turned out to be a disaster! I too had paid a £25 deposit which was not taken off the bill, I also questioned the service charge which we finally got knocked off, they pretend they can't understand english! The food was diabolical, we had to have a set meal at £25 a head, then they ran out of rice which they didn't care about, we were cramped up, everyone was complaining. The most unbelievable discovery for me though was picking up a chicken wing that still had feathers on it! They are a money making machine, we only had two bottles of wine and two bottles of water on top of the set meal, the bill came to £165, plus £15 service charge! If the food had been good i wouldn't have complained but it was disgusting, I was ashamed I took my staff there. I have since asked for my money back to no avail.

We decided to go to the Thai E-Sarn as all the other restaurants in West Didsbury were booked up. What a mistake!
The decor in the restaurant is questionable - there are carpet tiles stuck on to the seats and extremely tacky pictures of Elvis Presley.
The food was extremely mediocre and the price was really expensive. The service wsa okay but the waiters could not understand English. I was unhappy that a reservation for 4 warranted an enforced 10% service charge - it was not a very good meal and I felt that the food was overpriced. There were other customers in the restaurant who looked equally unimpressed. I wish I had stayed home!

Booked a table for 13 people, and paid a £5 per person deposit which is required to book for saturday nights. At the end of the meal the deposit was not subtracted from the total bill, and this also happened to every other table in the restaurant. Eventually managed to persuade staff that we did not need to pay the deposit twice, and had to prove that we have paid the deposit with the receipt we had. We then also questioned if the compulsory service charge was deserved, and the staff were most unhelpful, and abrupt to the point of being rude on more than one occasion.
Now reported to the Trading Standards Agency who are investigating.

A great night out.Fab food, the weekend set menu offers great choice and you can sample a bit of everything. You can then work off all those calories with a dance and a sing song along with Thai Shirley Bassey!!!!
