I've been here quite a few times over the past couple of years. The food is good, there is a good range of starters and all are very tasty. The service is rather poor, and this is the reason I wouldn't go again. They always seem to be rushing you to turn tables over for some reason even when not busy. Your main is in front of you as soon as they take the starter plates away. I was also very disappointed on my last visit to be told, "you shouldn't order 1 main between 2. I'll let you off but don't do it again". I was very taken back by this statement. Fair enough if we just ordered 1 main and 2 glasses of water. But we ordered several starters and a bottle of wine too. Needless to say I'll be trying the 2 other Nepalese restaurants on Burton road in the future!

After reading good reviews on the internet we decided to try this restaraunt for ourselves. Firstly parking near the restaraunt was very tricky and took a while. We were seated quite quickly once we inside, and were promptly delivered some popuddoms - we we then asked what we would like to order, before having had a chance to look at the menu - the staff tried to rush you a fair bit. The starters arrived - they were ok - but nothing special.. Then our main meals arrived, and we were very dissapointed, they were luke warm and tasteless - If you have a bland taste pallet then this is the place for you. If you like curry to taste like curry - dont go here. After complaining to the manager he then went on to speak in a very loud voice - how famous they were etc etc...we took pity and decided to pay for the starters...and left. if you would like a bowl of soup with some grilled chicken in it..at luke warm temps - then you would like it here!

Always a delight to visit the Ghurka Grill. The cuisine is subtle and delicately spiced, a delightfull change from the "English Asian food" that abounds in manchester

This is possibly the best restuarant of its kind anywhere. Different and exceptional cuisine and excellent staff who all care about the customers.
