Casa Tapas

We love the casa tapas. it has a lovely individual feel amongst so many chains and bland imitation tapas bars. its small, intimate yet buzzing. the food is great and the service grand. Noone is rushing you out the door, like so many other places. love it been going for years.

I have been to many a Tapas restaurant, both in the UK and in Spain, and I would rate this one very highly. The food is authentic, the service good, and the atmosphere intimate and unhurried. I went to catch up with friends who I hadn't seen for a while, and unlike some restaurants could actually hear people talking - too many places have the music too loud these days. The service was great, and they were very patient given the fact that it was quite a large group and they got the order spot on, which is more than I can say for other tapas restaurants.

rubbish. i have been to casa tapas twice and each time been disappointed with their poor service. each time i went our order was written down wrong and when we mentioned it to the waiter nothing was done about it and i understand that each dish takes a different amount of time but one of our party ordered paella and we were not told it would take nearly an hour! everyone had finished and then out came the paella with half of the rice stuck to the pan. ugh.

the only thing that impressed me about casa tapas was the decor and nice candlelight, certainly not the service.

Eight of us had a meal here for my birthday in March 2006. The atmosphere was terrific.Loads of little dishes full of interesting food! Staff very friendly and very patient with all the different requests!

As a visit for a birthday this was perfect. Great food and really helpful staff for those of the group who were not initaited in Tapas. A real treat at good value for money.

This restaurant has been consistantly fabulous for ten years, never fails to be great value for money, lovely atmosphere, and far better tapas than its chain rivals. It's one of those rare places that becomes an old friend. Keep the small independents going and visit soon!
