Kwok Man

What can I say, Kwok Man is the best Chinese restaurant in Manchester without a shadow of a doubt.

It's true, the decor isn't great but the food and staff are amazing. My wife and I have been many times and have never been dissapointed. It is also open very late also, until 04:00am most mornings.

Like other reviewers say, there is a very good reason why most of the customers are chinese, it's out of this world. You will NOT be dissapointed!!!

My family and I are regular customers at Kwok Man. The dim sum is great as the portion is just right, non too big and non too small. The foods are at a great price compared with other restaurants. Staff are more than friendly, no bad tempers, no dirty fingers. Overall, an excellent restaurant!

Kwok Man is probably the best Chinese Restaurant in Manchester especially for Dim Sum.

(Note - 8 of us all adults can be really stuffed for £28 worth of Dim Sum so I don't understand the people complaining about prices.)

The decor is extremely poor - it does need a refurbishment, but I think a lot of people here want a fancy restaurant and the per-fick Chicken Fried Rice.

If you want that, go to Yang Sing and pay high prices for westernised food in poncey surroundings - but there is a good reason why the majority of Customers in Kwok Man are Chinese - because they know what and how to order the best stuff!

We have been to Kwok Man many times and have never been disappointed.

It's not the average china town restaurant geared for the western consumer.

It's good honest food.

I love this restaurant and the food is real and is certainly of quality. It serves quality Cantonese food and not just food that can be purchased in take aways. It attracts many Chinese people who like to bring their families for great food with warm staff that welcomes them. Just look around and you will soon realise that there are lots of satisfied customers. So if you agree with those bad reviews, the places which you would like are those who have loads of staff, who serves their food with nice plates and not much else. Some are truly forgetting what the food tastes like and are just focusing on the decor and if the restaurant looks great. In Hong Kong the best food is often food in smaller outlets in the back streets and are always busy. Take a hint, its in the taste and be a dare devil, select other foods not like salt & pepper ribs but something like spicy pork with tofu which is stewed and tastes great.

I was very disapointed with the Kwok Man, the only alcohol they served on tap were half lager shandies. Also, the sausages tasted like they cost around 28p from Asda - most unimpressive.

Been going to this restaurant for about 10 years, its great. If you go on a Tuesday, you get free soup, free soft drink and free fruit platter and sweet at the end of your meal. Excellent tasty food!

Kwok Man has been around for many years and is still considered one of the best quality of food around.

Regardless of the new, refurbish chinese restaurants around in Manchester Kwok Man is the place to dine.

The decor might be a bit shoddy but it doesn't take away the oriental flavours, the service they provide away.
