L'Escargot Montorgueil

This restaurant used to be wonderful and I would visit it on every visit to Paris.

However, on my last trip the owner and managment had changed and what a shame because of it. The ambience is gone, they are trying to be more "hip" now instead of sticking to what they were good at and the food quality has plummeted (though the high prices still remain).

We even spoke to some of the staff that we remembered from our previous visits and they also expressed their disappointment in the new management.

Its such a terrible shame. If I were to recommend this place, it would be for a quick lunch, if even that, but certainly not for a special dinner in Paris when there are so many other places you could go. Theres nothing classy about this place anymore.
