We really enjoyed our recent evening at Michael's. A group of us went for the early bird menu of £13.95 for two courses which included a complimentary bottle of wine between two. don't know how they do it as the food was excellent and the staff were absolutely lovely. Definitely to be recommended.

We love this restaurant! Every time we have been the food is always cooked and presented to the highest standard. The staff are friendly and attentive. Michaels deserves to go from strength to strength.

I went to Michaels last Friday and was extremely pleased with everything. I had a starter of Scallops, which were probabley the best i have had in a long time, snd cooked to perfection. Then i had the 12oz Sirloin steak, and it was exceptional..that was served with chunky chips and veg. The steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare just as i had asked.

The waiting staff were very polite and i also enjoyed Michael's creme brulee, which i had read about being voted the #1 dessert in merseyside...it lived upto its reputation.

10/10 for me, im going back next friday!!!

My girlfriend and I went to Michaels for my birthday celebration on New Years Eve...

Price £60.00 each... plus wine…. No entertainment

We were sat in the back of the restaurant which resembled a subway, curved walls, low ceiling and very narrow. You might think this sounds romantic but it wasn’t. Part way through the evening I went to get something from my jacket which has hung on a coat stand nearby only to find condensation running down the walls and my coat was wet.

The staff were pleasant but quite formal.

I am 6’4’’ and the portions were tiny, I went home watched Jols Holland and had cheese & buscuits. The canapés on arrival were good, starters OK, main course steak was like old shoe leather and the desert not bad….

The restaurant has some rave reviews but I cant quite work out why…. I have been there twice and had mediocre meals both times.

The really annoying thing was the price….. and the general lack of ambience….
