Well where do i start. Myself and two friends went to have a bite to eat at bella italia.

It all started from the minute we walked in through the door. We were waiting to be seated for at least 2-3 minutes and in that time the waiters and waitresses never even acknowledged that we were in the building.

When we were showed to our seats we were asked what drinks we would like and there no gas in the drinks machine. After we had bearly put our knives and forks down the plates were taken away. While we were eating our main course a lady entered the restaurant and she asked for a mineral and she got it. Also one of the staff sat down and was talking to her for a few minutes. Then the Manager sat down and started eating his dinner at the table next to us.

The atmosphere was not relaxing at all it was extremely loud. The waitress that was serving our table had fight with one of the chefs and she brought it out to the dining area as she asked the manager to sort it. We asked for some water and there were no jugs. The Manager was clearing away a table and he just wiped all the food on to the floor.

A waitress knocked a bottle on to the floor and she just kept walkin with the food. And then one of the other staff just stepped over the bottle and never picked it up. Dessert time: We ordered dessert and it did not come at the same time. When we asked for the bill we were ignored by a member of staff twice. So finally we asked the Manager and he did not even ask any of the members of staff to get it for us. So the moral of the story is not to go near Bella Italia in Picadilly Gardens Manchester.

I thought the food to be less than a standard i would expect. I dined with an Italian friend who by the end of the meal said he was sorry to have taken us there, it didn't do his home country any justice at all. Would not go back or reccommend.

I went with 3 friends in the middle of the afternoon and we took advantage of the "2 course for £7.95p offer" The meal was excellent and there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant considering the time of day. The staff were friendly and were happy to provide us with a free jug of iced water with our meal. Would recommend
