The food is ok, overpriced though for what you get. The restaurant itself is lovely. The staff are obnoxious, arrogant and try to get you out before you've even sat down then rip you off by charging you a service charge (which they don't deserve) and not returning your change when you haven't told them to keep it. Also, after complaining to the company who own Room you get fobbed off with ridiculous excuses. Definitely not recommened if you want a good night out. And they charge you a service charge at the bar. Ridiculous!

Still talking about our meal at Room Restaurant last night. Loved it. Ambiance - although the room was quite dark and intimate, our party of 6 all enjoyed the surrounding atmosphere. Staff attentive, very professional and extremely pleasant. Menu - very mixed bag but we were all pleasantly surprised and impressed with our choices. Top quality.

A very good meal, slightly out of the

ordinary but at a reasonable price.

Will definately be back! (and soon)

Really impressive space. The menu is slightly confusing with odd descriptions of dishes, but the waiters are happy to explain everything. A good selection of food. We went during the half-price food offer, so value for money was great! At other times, mains cost from £15 and starters and deserts around £5, but this is still not overprices. The food was great. Portions not too large, which was a good thing, because we were able to have three delicious courses each. My 'chicken kiev' turned out to be a juicy piece of chicken on the bone, wrapped in parma ham on a bed of tasty risotto and green beans. The wine list was less impressive, however. The choice was OK, but it is obvious this is where the restaurant makes its money. There were probably only a handful of bottles sub £25. We chose a Riff Pinot Grigio, which was enjoyable, but priced at £26 compared to the £7 at Tesco for the very same bottle, seemed a little steep. I'm no expert, though. This could be typical of restaurant mark-ups. Because this is a lovely restaurant, and one with great food, we didn't mind paying a bit extra for the wine.

Overall, a very nice experience. Service was prompt and friendly. Would definately go again (during the half-price periods!)
