Waxy O'Connors

We were going to the cinema (19/12) to see 3d avatar, film so decided before the film to grab a quick drink, went in waxy o connors, and I have to say what a great atmosphere, irish staff, and irish music, lovely nooks and crannys to sit, we wanted to sit near the fire place, as its xmas it was busy,. found a nice corner to have a glass of wine.. gunna go again. it reminded me of irish bars in barcelona..I liked it...

Can't praise this place and its staff enough. We went their for a family meal (22 of us, prebooked) on a wednesday night and everything went so well. Because of the large group we were given a choice of three set menus, and even though we chose the cheapest (£13.95 for 3 courses) the food was lovely and everyone enjoyed it.

The food came out promptly and as mentioned before was lovely, with not one complaint. The staff went out of their way to help us, but werent overbearing which is exaclty what you want. Its just a shame we missed the live music because we came on wednesday! A few problems, which was our fault (a few turning up later on for food) were dealt with no problems.

I would reccommend this place, and its staff to anyone.
