Second Floor Restaurant @ Harvey Nichols

To be honest, I was a little underwhelmed. Yes, the food looked gorgeous; very modern and trendy. But like so many places that serve "trendy" food, it is, to some extent, at the expense of flavour. Nothing was less than good, but to be honest, if you just closed your eyes and were fed the food here you would NOT fall off your chair. The flavours are not that stunning, which at these sort of prices is not, to my way of thinking, forgivable. Service is first class, the room is pretty, though quirky.
Not bad if you're getting an offer, but at full price (which is a LOT) I doubt I'd go back. If I'm spending £200 for two (with modest wine), I'm at The French every time.
