Royal Orchid Thai Restaurant

Good service but the food was below average. Very bland vegetables in batter and the spicyness of the green curry seemed to be covering the lack of freshness of the ingredients. Very little of the coconutty flavour you get from authentic green curries. Not dreadful, but I wouldn't go again.

I thought this place was quite good. It's not at the level of Chaopraya, but is almost certainly better than any other Thai place I've tried in Manchester. Good, solid Thai cooking...worth a try if you want a break from the brilliance that is Chaopraya.

I agree with Sheila we came across the Royal Orchid in November 2007 and have been regulars ever since. The food is fabulous the service is great what more can you ask for! It is an authentic restaurant not like many of the others that have chinese or Indian chefs trying to cook thai food, we even met one of the chefs at the fab buffet on a friday lunch. dont know where these people have been going.

The Royal orchid is a great restaurant great food and service I dont know where these people have been to who have previously written reviews but it couldnt have been here. MY husband and I go there every sunday and the staff are nothing but polite and friendly and the service is outstanding. Also the comment on the service charge makes me wonder whether we are talking the same restaurant as no service charge is added to the bill. The food is excellent and as regulars to Thailand as well as the Royal Orchid the food can match any that you can find in Thailand. I would recommend this restaurant.

i went there with my girlfriend on a date as we both wanted to have a thai meal. But the service was just apauling. Not to mention the food. The food was not authentic at all. i have had thai food before and this simply doesnt compare.. will never do there again...oh and they charge u service charge(daylight robbery this place.)
