Moon Restaurant

Excellent food, very friendly staff, and amazing value for money.
Why would you bother going elsewhere, when you have an excellent local restaurant like the Moon on your 'door step'.

The service is very good.
It was felt that overall the food was not of a high enough standard.
The complimentary poppadums were crisp but the accompanying chutney tray was seriously flawed. Mango chutney should never run like water.
Onion bahjees lacked flavour and were too small. Four to a plate the size of golfballs. Much better if they were two to a plate and tennis ball size. Samosas were described as being greasy and bland.
The main meals were also lack lustre compared to many other restaurants we have eaten in. Greasy and lacking any heat in the form of chiles was a common theme.
We left a tip for the service as it was good.
For better food there are two options, mention this review and get them to improve or go to the Punjab restaurant a mile or two down the road which was better.
I also note that the toilet facility whilst clean and tidy lacked the simplest of items, a toilet roll holder, why not fit one and that way keep the toilet roll off the floor.
I hope they can improve as the venue itself is very pleasant and welcoming.
