Las Iguanas (Deansgate)

I have been a convert of las iguanas since going regularly to the trafford centre branch since opening, so now we always visit the deansgate restuarant.
Not only does it have free wifi, (not alot of place on deansgate does) the cocktails are always buy one get one free on a saturday afternoon, so I always opt for the cherry fizz.
Waitresses are friendly, we went yesterday for lunch, but was placed in the middle of the kitchen area..so asked to be moved up in the higher area, so I could also pick up the signal for the wifi.
I always order the same and should really try something different, I do however think that the tapas selection is a tad expensive, reason why I didnt go for them, so I had the chicken ceasar salad with anchovies, which has a nice twist to it and gorgous, very spicy also, but I do pour on the hot chilli sauce that is free to use on the table, I also ordered a portion of patatas bravas (me loving latin, spanish food) which are tasty but not like spanish patatas bravas.very nice and a good dollop of alioli.
My Partner had the burittios with beef and onions, and it looked and tasted gorgous, dont let portion size put you off, there not huge but gosh they are filling.
The bill came to 42 quid..but we did have 2 cockails and a cider..but got 4 cocktails so a really good deal.
Il be no doubt back there again soon as we are always in manchester for lunch on a saturday, but may go back to the trafford centre one as havent been there for weeks..

I visit this place on a regular basis, it is always busy with a bubbly atmosphere.
The staff are smiley, sociable & helpful. Cocktails are served BOGOF in happy hour which is great.. my favourites include Cherry Fizz & Long Island Iced Tea
The food is lovely.. I have to say I have the same dish everytime & should probably branch out but hey I love it (xim xim) one of the brazillian options comes seved in a stoneware basin with tealight & consists of chicken & crayfish in a creamy peanut sauce with delicious fried plantain & moorish coconut farofa.
Still everyone I take here adores whatever they order so I have to assume all of the food is good. One problem I would give is that because it is quite a large restaurant, it is sometimes difficult to grab the waiter/ress attention & when you do finally order your drinks you have to wait a long time for your check to pass through beverages. Apart from the it is a great hangout restaurant/bar for socialising. one of my faves <3

I never expected Latin food to be so great.
This restaurant is amazing I just have to let other people know how great it is. If your looking for something new and original I would recomend this place. I took my girlfriend for meal there and she is totally addicted now.
Value for money, the staff are really friendly, drinks are excellent, the atmosphere is great and the food is really tasty!
I also discovered that the food is freshly made on site which is something dont find so often these days and there is another one at the Trafford Centre Bonus!
