The Victoria & Albert Restaurant

we picked the Victoria and Albert restaurant as a 'safe' choice for elderly relatives and were very pleased with our meal. the restaurant is cosier than most hotel dining rooms and we liked the decor, lots of wood and soft furnishings. the food is basically british and gastropub dishes and we had a couple of very well cooked steaks and a nice simple fish dish. puds were worth the wait but service did tail off a bit towards the end. we had to wait a while for the bill etc. overall we were pleased and the staff if slow were very kind.
