The Trafford Tavern

My wife and I went to the Trafford Tavern for a meal on Tuesday the 05/08/2008 we ordered the meal at 14.41 and had to ask a member of staff again at 3.20 if they had forgot our meal she went to check and came back and said it was just on its way, the meal itself was was a disaster, practically uneatable, I had the Steak and Ale Pie the pastry was rock hard there was hardly any meat in the pie, it was absolutely tasteless, the premises where not the cleanest, the service was very poor, we will not be going there again and advise anyone else who is thinking of going to find an alternative venue, when I said to the so called waiter about the meal he just shrugged his shoulders and walked off not saying a word, so to make a complaint in the Trefford Tavern make sure you take a loud speaker with you so that you will be heard, I am also writing a letter of complaint to the Trafford Tavern do not expect a reply

We have used this restaurant about ten times over a 5 year period, usually when the family can not agree on a theme or type of food. Whilst the food is ok, with a varied selection of styles it doesn't feel like it has been freshly prepared. On our last visit, a Sunday lunchtime neither our first, second or third choices were available although no mention of a shortage was made on the menues by the entrance doors. On asking to speak to the Manager it was then we found out how hard it is to complain, the company has no customer care number, didn't welcome complaint and could only supply an address for a development company.
We have decided there are many more pleasing places to eat in the Great Hall of the Trafford Centre. The Trafford Tavern, not a place we expect to return to soon.
