visited Gusto last night with my girlfriend, We were seated quickly and enjoyed a three course meal.
I have great experience of seafood and fish cooking and must say the fayre was of high quality fresh ingredients and served at just the right heat and timing. The service was nimble and polite, Give it a try, i am sure you wont regret it.Wilmslow has a new star.

I went to Gusto a few weeks ago with a friend for her 21st birthday party. We were in a party of 8 and had booked over a week in advance, so there was no problem with the table. It took 20 minutes for a waiter to offer us drinks, and a further 10 for them to arrive. Once we'd ordered our meals, it took over an hour for the starters to come, and we had to send three plates of mussels back because they were stone cold. An hour and ten minutes after the starter plates were cleared away, we got our main courses - one of which was also stone cold and had to be returned. I had the £15 duck dish, and it was utterly tasteless. We spoke with the manager and she only removed £30 from a £230 bill. If it had been up to me (which it wasn't, it was up to my friend), I wouldn't have paid a peny. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

This was my second visit to Gusto. My first visit was a great - I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the lively atmosphere. Unfortunately, the second time I was not so impressed. We went on a busy Saturday night and were told when we booked we would have two hours for our meal, which was fair enough, given the restaurant was busy. However, we were attended to by a rather pushy waitress, who would stop by our table virtually every 5 minutes to ask if we wanted drinks, to see if we had finished eating, etc. This really spoilt the conversation at our table and we felt pressured to finish up quickly, though we were well within the two-hour limit.
My opinion of Gusto has somewhat diminished from this experience....

Visited Gusto in Didsbury with friends on a Saturday night in early November. After all I'd read it was in the same group as my favourite resturant. The atmosphere was buzzing but the food was average with small portions both for starters and mains. A large glass of white wine £8.95 - honest I,ve not paid this in London!! More of a venue to be seen in than great food etc.
