We were 12 in our party, had the waitress been more pleasant and polite and helpful we would return/recommend Jem & I. It doesn't look like we will do either.
Have your waitress trained on how to act and be pleasent. Un-trained staff can cost you your business.

My wife and I live in Davenport and so seldom travel to Didsbury for restaurants. One evening we decided to give Didsbury a try. We travelled there parked up and walked around to see what we reckonned would be worth a try.
We picked on "Jem and I" and what a treat. The food was delicious, and contrary to what others have written I thought the service was efficient and very friendly ... so much so that we have been back with two friends and YIPEE ... we're going there again this evening with another two friends. We dine out 3 times a week and I know what I'm writing about and I write that it is the best restaurant ... not only in Didsbury ... but in the whole of Manchester.
... Take a friend there ... you won't be disappointed. The best table to book is "16".

Went for lunch before refurb...food was great, although service could have been better. Have since returned and ate there on Easter Sunday. I can honestly say the best food we have eaten in Manchester for a long time. Fab food, great cheerful service....I only wish we lived in Didsbury.

had a fantastic meal last night, service is fantastic, the food was out of this world! i can geniunly say that this is one of the best restaurants in manchester. they've recently had a fab extention, and it looks modern, sleek and in keeping with the whole aura of the place. our waitress was attentive and hilarious, food is always great. top one!

Had a meal at Jem and I last night and thought it was wonderful and highly recommend it in every way. The service was good, the food excellent and the modern interior with a bit of the traditional created an excellent atmosphere.
