Little Yang Sing Restaurant In Manchester

your comments review this restaurant

I've just returned to Manchester after 5 years away and was loking forward to going back to this restaurant after I had reccommended it to so many friends who stay here on business, etc. Been twice this year, the first visit was a Friday lunchtime; the food was good, ok wine selection and the service was good. Went back last weekend on the Saturday and it was mediocre - both food and service. It felt rushed yet it wasn't busy, we complained about the salt and pepper prawn dish which was just awful and got a brush off by the waiter, the serving staff have no idea about drinks and they take forever. There were other niggles including the mini ribs as a starter being overpriced and you can't tell what you are eating. Won't be rushing back as I am disappointed by the lack of care and interest the restaurant has in it's customers and the treatment then received when you have a problem.

Surprised at the reviews that this restaurant has received. We went early on Saturday 7 Feb and our meal was delicious. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. Will definitely book again. Have been to the 'big' Yang Sing and we didn't enjoy that at all.

Every bit as bad as "big" Yang Sing, which is all you need to know.

This was my second visit to LYS, first time was excellent service, second time was poor and we actually got in trouble for not tipping!

When we arrived we seated and drink orders were taken we waiting around 15 minutes from arriving to getting our drinks and then when they arrived they had missed off a drink.

The starters arrived but with big breaks in between them being brought out so we all waited around 5 minutes till everyone had their food. 2 people from our group ordered the same starter which was put on the same plate but no one told us, as all the starters were quite big it was hard to tell if it was just for one person. Our main meals came again it took them around 10 minutes to bring everything out (there was only 7 of us) and they had missed off an order which then had to be cancelled due to the length of time we had to wait. To be fair the food was excellent and lots of it but it was pretty pricey.

It was the first time we hadn't tipped and I never realised how much chaos it would cause. Our waitress came out to take the bill and said we had done it wrong, we explained that we had chosen not to leave a tip and told her why. Rather than her apologising about the service she got really aggressive and was very rude then the manager came out and more staff. Not one of them apologised for the service it was like we were in the wrong for not tipping! if they rely on tips then I would expect them to make a bit more effort with their service. Anyway we eventually got out of their as we was feeling very uncomfortable and threatened sat there with all the staff standing round us.

I was very disappointed this time round and I definitely wont be going there again.

we went to this restaurant on sunday 17 feb and im sorry to say the food was not the best . the prawns just didnt taste good.the salt and pepper ribs were over priced at £9.90 for a starter. and when we asked for the bill the waitress kept coming back adding things to it because she had missed things off (at least three times) .

china town is fantastic and we have tried seveal places but im sorry to say this was the worse.

The food was very good and appealed in a very authentic chinese cuisine. Service was commendable and and restaurant was quite busy early on.

This i smy favourite restaurant in Manchester. It has the nest vegetarian option in any restaurant I have been to. The food is tasty and plenty of it. The service is a little slow with large groups, so allow plenty of time!

I have eaten here many times over the yeas so was dissapointed to see the notes saying all was not well. I went witha friend onthe 18.07.07 and the staff are different. the old lady who acted as mother superior and ensured all was well has gone and a young girl acts as the captain. There was a gentleman overseeing but he did not do much. Upon entering we were shown straight to the table rather than any option to wait and have a drink first. the drinks ordered came quickly and the food was hot ,pleaniful although no one came to check all was well. the table lay out was OK with chopstick rsts and heaters for the food. Overall no complaints and i would go back. It has changed and the quality is now like other resturants whereas a few years ago it was one of the best around! As such it is now overpriced

Everything is just so bad in this rest. I am extremly dispointed.

The boss kept shouting to his staff which had gave us a hard feeling.

And it is not just the atmosphere, the food taste so bad too. It doesn't worth that much money for this kind of quality of food.

i will NOT recommend anyone go to this restaurant!
