My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for the past 21 years. We went to celebrate our engagement in 1987, and have been for every wedding anniversary since, and for several other important events as well, including my graduation celebrations! This weekend we will be returning to Manchester to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary and could not think of a better place than this intimate, romantic restaurant. The food has been consistantly excellent, the welcome always warm and the service attentive without being intrusive.

Decided to give Don Antonio's a go before visiting the theatre. Arrived before opening time but a very nice gentlemen working in the kitchen spotted two 'young' ladies in distress and opened up.

Very efficiently we were served drinks and given the best table in the house!

Excellent service, excellent food, Excellent value for money.

We will definately be going again.

While its been almost two years since I visited this charming little restaurant(yes it is very small and intimate), it still remains the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. The food was truly fantastic, and even the cheapest wine on the menu(I was a student at the time!) was a gorgeous compliment to the food. Although quite expensive, I seem to recall it was around £70 for two people to eat a starter, a main course and to share a bottle of wine, the food really is that excellent that you really don't mind paying that bit extra. If your looking for really fantastic food in a romantic, intimate setting where the staff are friendly and attentive, then look no further - without a doubt my favourite restaurant in Manchester, very possibly in the entirity of the UK!
