I love this place, been 3 times this year. its always consistent. best placed for a buzzing night out with excellent unpretentious food. the place to go in the summer!.
However it is expensive so just for special occaisions

Pierre Koffmann - Restaurant on the Roof
This was the one of the best meals i've enjoyed in a long time.
The dining room was a little draughty given that it is a tent on a roof top, but once you are sat down you hardly notice as proceedings kick off sharply with Dawn Davies at the helm. The wine list is smartly put together and the food was great. I have to rate the Pistachio Souffle as the best dessert in London. Wonderful buzz around the dining room, enjoyed every mouthful. Nice to see wating staff actually smiling again aswell.

Quo Vadis
Popped in for a post theatre meal on the off chance and we were accomodated superbly event though we were late and had no booking. busy dining room that has real atmosphere and the staff extremely hospitable. had a steak tartare and lobster spaghetti which were flavoursome and comforting, great wine list and one of the most stylish and comfortable dining rooms in london. in short thought it was brilliant.

Babylon at The Roof Gardens
Had a wonderful eveving here. Food was nothing amazing but nothing to disappoint either. nice fresh tasty if not mind blowing or original. wrong side of expensive but on reflection i didn't mind as i had such a good time. the jazz band were excellent and the service good. the venue itself is what steals the show. very romantic with great views. all in all would be pleased to recommend this place to anyone, provided they aren't looking for michelin quality in the cooking. which I reiterate was good none the less. will definately return. maybe on a weekend night when you get free enterance to the famous club/bar downstairs.

The Harwood Arms
Been here a few times over the last year and have to say it has been consistently good.
the food reads simple honest pub fare but is actually executed to a restaurant standard
never been disappointed here in 6 visits
hearty meat dishes a speciality. good beers on draught

The Ledbury
I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened and have always found it reliable and inventive, the cooking first class, amoung the best in london and the staff relaxed and profesional.
This last visit however, blew me away. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, it has.
The sommelier, front of house are absolutely on the top of their game and match the brilliant cooking that has always been on offer here.
your money is in good hands here. absolutely brilliant experience.

Fantastic place that gets it right in every area.
mark up on top end wines represent great value for your money. cooking was first class
everything was beautiful, relaxed and fun
the size of the bill means it is a restaurant you can return to regularly and not just a special occasion destination. hard to fault and harder to beat

Orrery
Never again. went for dinner and found the cooking and service to be so far below the mark to be a joke and at these prices its unfogivable
an expensive lesson learned. real shame a this place used to be brilliant
hope it was just a bad night and no reflection on how things usually are for there sake but i wont be back.
for the money there is so many more consistent places. very disappointed as I have always really enjoyed it here. Real shame

Wild Honey
would have been great except for food which wasn't fresh, or executed particularly well. Went to arbutus recently where everything was execeuted really well. still staff were brilliant, hopefully it was an off night as i would like to go back

Comptoir Gascon
On the whole i really enjoyed both my food and the place, the only disappointment was the cassoulet. which is the reason we went in the first place. strange. everything else was very nice though, will be back. but please please sort that cassoulet out.
